Our National Church Site ------------------------------------------------------------- Local Church History The Church of God By Faith, Inc., in Delray Beach began under the Evangelistic Leadership of Elder Zeddie Ealy in the home of Mother Floree Stanley. In 1942, the National Council sent Elder Charlie Clay to pastor. At that time, there were around five or six members. As the members increased God blessed us to build a church on SW 6th Avenue. Several years later the Lord allowed us to build a larger church on the north side of 6th Avenue, were we are at the present time. After many years of watering and through several Great Leaders such as Elder E.J. Lewis in 1950-1951 he and his wife were appointed to pastor Delray. Elder Lewis was an anointed preacher and his wife was anointed to sing and play the guitar. In 1951-1961 Elder L.A. Clay was sent to pastor Delray Beach, where he labored and continued to build up the congregation. In 1961-1962 Elder Swain pastored. In 1962-1963 Elder James Royal was sent to pastor, he was a man of FAITH and trusted God for everything. In 1964-1980 Elder W.C. Smith pastored, he was a visionary man of faith. His favorite saying was "He's ALL,ALL,ALL RIGHT". During 1981-1989 Elder Daniel Gainey was sent to pastor, God continued to work wonders and the church grew in many ways. He was a man of wisdom. From 1989-1996 Elder William Brazil was sent to pastor. The Lord used him in a miraculous way, he was a man of faith and wisdom, who was unafraid to confront Satan. In 1996, Elder John Robinson, III was sent to pastor and he is still currently pastoring in Delray Beach. During this time, our ministry has experienced tremendously rapid growth. The Lord is using Elder Robinson mightily. He is a young man full of wisdom and he says nothing on his own nor of his own, he speaks directly from the scripture through the grace of God. The church is growing and the ministries are expanding beyond our walls. We must build a New Sanctuary. Pastor Robinson is confident in the fact that with the Lord's help we will build God a holy place of worship. In the four years of Elder Robinson's pastorship many people have been SAVED, HEALED, DELIVERED, and SET FREE from their sins. Also, many members have been added to this ministry. Praise and Deliverance Church of God By Faith, is a church "Where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is ALL". The Lord has blessed us and we've come this far by FAITH.
